Due to an impending house move (27th of May - eek!! ) I have decided to sell a huge chunk of my Discworld collection including (but not limited to) a number of early LBEs, FDCs, sheets of stamps, proof sheets and single stamps inc. sports (mainly from the start of the Discworld Stamps collection) as well as a few of my Clarecraft figures and some of my Discworld books.

If you would like to see a pic of any of the items listed here then please send me a message on here and I'll send it across. All items will be listed here for a short period of time before they are listed on eBay. I have no idea how much anything is worth nowadays so if you are interested then please make me an offer via. PM and we'll take it from there :)

UPDATE - 18/05: Another batch of items have just been sold on eBay - more to go up tomorrow with a couple of buy-it-now auctions in there and an Assassins Engravers proof (early competition prize)!! - CLICK HERE to see my auctions and to get in first!

Here's the list:

Special Stamps and sports
Flagrant cabbage
Assassins three pence with no gum
Eminence Gris (Original penny patrician black with grey hair - mentioned in Going Postal).
Franked UU one penny sport
UU one farthiung sport
Original withdrawn 4p and 6p Thieves guilds (4p had 6448 released befoe they were withdrawn and the 6p had 6262 released) - £3 each

Going Postal FDC - the one that started it all off. I have 2 of these but unfortunatly one of them has has got a small tear in the middle of the flap at the back of the envelope and the other has had the flap sealed at some point so there is damage where it has been reopened. With both FDCs the rest of the FDC and the inserts are in perfect condition and from the front they look perfect - £10
Hogswatch 2004 FDC - Mint condition - complete with an insert detailing the 'current franking stamps in use as from Dec 2004'
Unseen University FDC - I can't remember the exact story behind this FDC but it features the UU One Farthing, One Penny and Penny Farthing stamps which are all UU franked, and a Royal Mail magic stamp (hankerchiefs) which has been franked 'Royal Mail Bath - 18th Aug 06'

Oook!

I have an orphan in need of a home :( (Unless it's a widow :? )

I had this lovely Alchemist's sport, and then it went and got stuck on something. I hadn't realized which stamp it was when I pulled it free, otherwise I would have been much more careful. As it is, the top-right corner is rather flaky (see picture).

I was wondering if anyone wanted to give it a home... Maybe get it franked, if anyone's interested in (Roundworld) Israeli postmarks :o

Oook! Update -

It's gone to it's new home, thanks Skaven!

UPDATED 11th AUGUST 2010

Hello All,

I am still fairly new to the scene, got most of the definatives and commons for the last few years, which I a m happy with. However I have an urgent and very specific appeal to make to the flatalist community.

Does anyone know where to get the LANCRE $1 CLAX BLUE stamp? The journal it was with is not listed in the shop, so I assume they're gone. Is there anyone with a spare which they are willing to part with for cash.

It is the final Clax stamp I need for a show page in my album, is there anyone who can help me? I will be happy to meet the sellers price (within reason). Please PM me if you can help.

Thanks
Chris

New Collectors in plea

Postby Twoflower » Tue Jun 08, 2010 07:15 pm

Salutations Hublanders, my "irregular partner" and I recently decided to start collecting the stamps and would be ever so grateful for any spares people may have cluttering up their drawer / album / loft / toilet / last clean pair of under pants. If anybody can help us in anyway however small please e-mail me on spookyshaw@live.co.uk

Many thanks in advance and obviously your kindness will, with any luck, one day be repaid.

Take a peek at my site's Trades page here: GOING POSTAGE: A Flatalist's Folly - Trades Page

=====

Well, it took me forever, but after looking through a multitude of catalogues and lists, I finally decided which stamps I wanted to collect and which ones I wanted to trade. Unfortunately, the list was so long that I could not fit it into a forum post here. O.o ... So, I created a website! =D (See link above)

Still tweaking it a bit, but the trades section is ready to go. You can contact me about trades here, on my site’s forum, or via PM from either place. I’ll post updates here when I add new items.

Right now I have a ton of corners and edges to trade, plus some joined stamps, a few sports, several Discworld Cinderella 6th Anniversary stamps, and few other goodies.

And since I’m just starting to collect DW stamps, I need a LOT of commons, a few sports and variations, and some stamps that I will probably never get my hands on! xD

Happy ... errr ... flataling! ;)
