Green Cabbages and Grateful-ness

Postby Reb » Thu Jul 29, 2010 01:12 pm

Aft'noon all!

I have been tackling GCTS submissions this week and, suffice to say, the sacred draw into which they are entered was full to bursting point. Without attention it may well have resulted in us having to make an entry in the accident book. So, I would like to thank you all for your patience and assure you that your green cabbage stamps and items will be filtering out with orders and fluttering through letterboxes if they haven't done so already.

I would like to extend more thanks to Mr Poulsen for not only sending me two varieties of Vegemite last month, but for writing us a lovely letter in his best joined up handwriting to accompany the Australian Post's equivalent to the Gaspode Charity issue and Royal Mail Battersea Dogs home covers.

Yet more thanks to Mr Braham for sending us some fine examples of Thai Stamps, Sheets and Special issues - so colourful and shiny that I have taken to wearing sunglasses whilst viewing them.

And finally to Mr Steeljam whose expertly compiled and presented guide to Discworld Stamps has proven invaluable not only for collectors new and old but for filling the gaps in my knowledge also.

I'm very glad that the Thai stamps added a bit of colour and brightness to the grey and uncertain days of spring... and now that summer has arrived, your sunglasses aren't out of place at all :)
I fear that I'm just about to add to your task of sorting out CGTS, for I posted another large batch yesterday.
Alas no Thai stamps this time, as I've already pillaged all the local post offices of their existing stock of interesting items.
Thanks for all your hard work on our behalf... It doesn't go unnoticed or unappreciated.
I have passed blamelessly through life doing nought but good deeds, and I am beloved by all whose path I have crossed. It is beyond comprehension that anyone could nurture in their hearts hostile feelings for me. Genevieve Dieudonne. Vampire.

I just recieved the Here be Dragons sheet. It is lovely, the Dragons are just so cute!
