The tradithionel Safely Home Thread

Took me two hours and 25 minutes. Thanks for a lovely weekend everyone. Much joy and happiness to Butcher and Periwinkle and future of the same to Chris and Dave (Illusion and Hayden)

Absolutely - we had a lovely time thanks and so pleased for Chris and Dave - roll on Next May event!

On the "safely home thread " note - as you know I live about 8 minutes away but it took us three and a half hours to get home due to chatting to everyone and having cuppa's at Sarah and Richards, drink in the Bear etc :sunny:

The road home wasn't bad. It didn't rain and the traffic was light. Unfortunately the wind soming in from the north across Salisbury Plain was hard and strong and I had to fight it all the way down the A303 and M3. I'm now suffering from a wrenched shoulder.
Had a great weekend and thank you to everyone for the hugs and wishes.

Home safe, took 2 and 1/2 hours as we stopped off for shopping....

Scored 26 on yellow car bingo.

We're also home, having taken a (planned) detour via Legoland on the way back as it's en-route (well almost).

Great time as usual, even if I did get press-ganged into being photographed this morning (I think I may end up being Harkin'd  ).

Got home safely despite getting stuck behind a tracter and someone who didn't want to do over 30 the entire way

I dropped Mr Slant off earlier, and I've been home for a couple of hours, so now it's time for supper!

I beat you all I got home 9 1/2 hrs after leaving Wincanton

That will teach me to put shortest way into the Sat Nav, after a bridle path, public footpath and still being in Somerset an hour and a half after setting off, I adjusted it :D

Stopped on at Bourton on the Water in the Cotswolds for a couple of hours and had a wander round the model village and gift shops, I'm getting into this, thanks Kel  , but it's not half as much fun sightseeing on my own :(

Had a lovely time, thanks to everyone and congratulations to both Mandy and Andy (and I do hope you find your ring) and Dave and Chris. (looking forward to the next nuptials now)

Thought we had done bad, 6 1/4 hrs in total, we were still in Somerset 2 hours after leaving (We found a Dobbies garden centre :D ) had a wander round, and came out nearly 2 hours later with a trolley full of plants and a thinner looking wallet....

On the way up the M6 we encountered lots of short heavy showers including one of hailstones and one were we couldn't see any clouds in front or to the side of the car, and had a strange spell where everyone sped up to 70(ish) and then brake lights got slammed on somewhere in the flow. As far as we could see there were thankfully, no accidents though, but it got a bit scary having to slam on for the second and third times

As i was saying, before my phone lost interest, i arrived home in just under 4 hours at 8.30pm having encountered no delays or other stressers. In fact my only worry was that i might be sick on the coach! But i was fine and am feeling alot better now :) I had a great weekend - it was wonderful to see you all again and to meet so many people i hadnt met before :) Thank you all for signing the card i drew! :) These weekends just wouldnt be the same without 4 essential qualities; warmth, generousity, hospitality and friendship! :D

Davina Typing
Journey home was ok and quick, but punctuated the whole way by me either wheezing like the Tardis, or choughing so hard my lungs hit the dashboard. (Not good as I was the driver).
Ali and I are completely sh*gged out and have been playing "I'm sicker than you", (shes well sick too). I'm currently winning by a fall and a submission.
Off to the Doctors tomorrow to get checked out - last time I sounded like this it was Pnuemonia and I was rushed to hospital with only 60% oxygen in my lungs. (They uselly hit the panic button if it gets to as low as 90%!)

Am crossing fingers it's just man flu......

And we do this for fun?????

Does this mean you've actually managed to get through an entire Wincanton event weekend including travel without anyone crashing into your car?
