Lot's of complicated timey-wimey stuff! And Rory! A great episode. Wish I'd been able to see it without the benefit of my sister Lana ~ cos when Lana and Elisha sit together through a show or movie noisy chaos enshoes(sp)

The really irritatign thing is, Lana can tell you everythign that happened and what was said etc ~ despite not actually paying attention to a programme

Glad to hear there will be more about the silence and River Song in the next season ~ and I still wanna know what those flashes of the Doctores previous incarnations ahve got to do with anything...

Okay, now that the season is all over here in the US I feel that I can comment on this season and new doctor. I think Matt Smith has done a good job of the doctor after David Tennant, just need to get used to the new Tardis and that annoying antifreeze reserviuor on the control pane. Just buggs me, don't know why.

I love that Riversong is in it, and is very courious about the married question!

Amy is wonderful and I think she is better than Martha and Rose and almost even with Donna. I think it is better to have a 'Mate/Buddy'' as a traveling companion then a 'Mate/mate' on board. Also I liked that they added Rory to the crew and he is okay with the Dr/ Amy relationship and that he Dr is making sure that Amy doesn't get too close.

What both Kim and I didn't like was that this was mostly on Earth. I watch the Dr for interesting and different places, I want to ESCAPE Earth myself for an hour, not hang around in familiar settings. I watch enough shows as it is on Earth.

Overall I give this new Dr 1.5 thumbs up.

I'm quite good with my toes (have been working on my Vulcan salute with my toes - yes I don't have much of a life). So I could do a 2 thumbs and 2 big toes approval rating.

Or did you mean the Igors here - as many opposable thumbs as you can shake a stick at!

Much better than Donna who comes fourth out of those for in my opinion. Don't know whether you saw the BBC Catherine Tate shows in USA but I felt that she was just playing one of her comic sketch characters in Dr Who. Pond vies with Rose for the best of the recent companions.

I agree that a few alien worlds would be good but The Doctor is most at home on Earth and they are set in the UK it gives it something i can relate to.
I always wanted Star Trek (the original of course) to have a few Earth based episodes.

Wha..?! Billie Piper was dreadful! She's as wooden as a barn door, and all her acting was done with her mouth hanging open... I found her whiney and irritiating.

Catherine Tate did a much better job, not to mention that it made a nice change to see a companion not trying to be romantically linked with the Doctor.

Martha and Amy would have been much better, in my eyes, if they didn't have such a crush on the doctor.
If you can't be a good example, you'll just have to be a horrible warning...
